From an idea to a wooden detail

CNC milling
After the model is prepared, CNC milling begins. This is the stage in which the shape is gradually brought out of limewood. The machine removes material according to the prepared toolpath, creating the relief, digits, house lines, and the cat silhouette.
Milling gives precision and repeatability. Thanks to this, every model can keep the same layout and proportions.
Hand sanding
After milling, the surface needs refinement. This is where hand work begins: removing small marks, softening edges, cleaning recesses, and checking the details.
It is a quiet but important stage. It decides whether the object looks like a raw semi-finished piece or like a finished wooden form.
Colour, wax, and oil
The finish brings out the character of the wood. A darker colour emphasizes recesses, light, and shadow. A lighter part shows the natural limewood. Oil and wax protect the surface and give it a warmer look.
With reliefs, it is especially important that the finish does not flood the detail. Lines, digits, and the texture of the cat must remain readable.
Checking the detail
Every model is checked before shipping. Not only the overall look matters, but also the small things: edges, surface, readability of the number, stability of the form, and quality of the finish.
A wooden door number works close to people. It will be seen from a short distance, touched, passed every day. That is why detail matters.
Packing
At the end, the object goes into its packaging. It is not only transport protection. Packing is the last stage of contact with the object before it is opened.
In models with a message, there may also be a letter, handmade paper, and a wax seal. Then the wooden cat is not only decoration. It becomes part of the gesture.
